The South African government funding institutions and grants, are focused on providing funding for business ventures that can make a difference to the country's economy.

Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)

The DTI provides funding to qualifying businesses from a range of sectors.

KFW Development Bank

The German Development Bank will also support companies in developing countries.

National Empowerment Fund (NEF) 

The aim of this organisation is to support B-BBEE and previously disadvantaged individuals and communities. It offers finance for startups and expansion.

Industrial Development Corporation (IDC)

There are multiple funds available offering financial support to start-up businesses needing capital for equipment, working capital and buildings. It also funds business expansion.

KZN Growth Fund

Investment in infrastructure to promote economic development within the KZN Province.

Small Enterprise Finance Agency (SEFA)

This fund has access to

R1.4 billion in funding given by IDC and the Government for South African small businesses over the next three years.

Isivande Women's Fund 

An exclusive women’s fund provided to empower women who have existing businesses. 

Land Bank

Offers a wide range of loans for all financial needs like buying land, equipment and working capital for agricultural projects.

Technology Innovation Agency (TIA)

The goal is to increase the quality of life of all South Africans by developing and exploiting technological innovations.
